Develop vital interpersonal skills for everyday life and work with the Level 2 Award in Helping Skills. This 4-week course is designed to support your personal and professional development and add value to roles within social care, health care, schools and education or family support. It also complements other programmes of study in this field, allowing you to extend your skill set. Community volunteers might also find this course beneficial as may those looking to study a counselling qualification.
No previous training or experience is required to do this course however you will ideally be aged 19 or over.

Teaching and Learning Methods
The course requires you to attend a 3-hour session at College each week for 4 for weeks, with the following choice of times:
Monday 6-9pm (starts 15/1/18)
Monday 6-9pm (starts 19/2/18)
Friday 9.45am-12.45pm (starts 9/4/18)
The sessions will involve group activities and discussions, with 1-2-1 support also provided. When you start the course, we will assign you a group tutor who will support you in collating your written evidence.

All staff involved in the delivery of any courses within the College are approved to teach and/or assess the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering and/or assessing a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
