Develop vital interpersonal skills for everyday life and work with the Level 2 Award in Helping Skills. This 4-week programme is designed to support your personal and professional development and add value to roles within health and social care, children’s care, learning and development as well as to voluntary and community roles. It also complements other programmes of study in this field, allowing you to extend your skill set. Taught by specialist tutors with a wealth of industry experience, the part-time structure and choice of class times fit easily around work and family commitments.
There are no specific entry requirements for this programme and working in the sector is not a requirement.
Teaching and Learning Methods
You will attend College for a three hour session each week for 4 weeks. These sessions will include group delivery and group activities and discussions with 1-1 support also provided. When you start the course, we will assign you a group tutor who will support you in collating your written evidence.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
