Understand the nature and impact of challenging behaviour and increase your employability in the health and social care sector. This knowledge-based qualification provides insight into the causes and effects of challenging behaviour – a concern for an increasing number of people. You will also explore the various ways in which to manage challenging behaviour and support those individuals involved. The course is an effective stepping stone to competence-based qualifications and careers in the area of health and social care.

Modules and Assessment
Teaching and Learning Methods
Attendance at College consists of weekly three-hour sessions for the duration of the course. Teaching is delivered in groups and supported by group activities and discussions. One-to-one support is also provided.
When you start the course we will assign you a progress tutor who will support you in collating a portfolio of evidence. This will consist of written tasks, posters, leaflets and training materials, drawn from workplace products such as social care policies and guidelines.
Each week we will set you independent tasks designed to help you consolidate your learning and prepare for your next session.
The course doesn't incorporate a work placement, however relevant experience or voluntary work will definitely support your understanding of the topics covered.
