Advance your career in children’s development and wellbeing with the Level 2 Understanding Childhood Illnesses. The programme provides insight into childhood illnesses as well as exploring areas such as health emergencies and providing a safe and healthy environment. It would ideally suit those already working in a childcare or education role and could support career advancement and/or progression to further related study. At B&FC you will benefit from industry specialist tutors with a wealth of sector experience. The programme is structured around a part-time format with a choice of class times to fit around work and/or other commitments.
There are no specific entry requirements for this programme and you don't need to be working in the sector.
Modules and Assessment
Teaching and Learning Methods
You will attend College for a 3-hour session each week for 3 weeks. These sessions will include group activities and discussion, with 1-2-1 support also provided.
When you start the programme we will assign you a progress tutor, who will support you in collating your written evidence.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
