Understanding Autism - Level 2

Develop your understanding of autism (and how to support individuals with autism) with this level 2 programme. You will discover how autism affects sensory processing, perception and cognition and learn about the methods used to support individuals with autism to live healthy and fulfilled lives. This qualification is ideal if you work or want to work with individuals with autism in settings such as health, social care, entertainment, leisure, nursing, education and training, and the public sector. There are no specific entry requirements for this course and you don't need to be working in the sector.

Teaching and Learning Methods
You will attend College for a 3-hour session each week for 12 weeks. These sessions include group activities and discussions, with 1-2-1 support also provided.
When you start the programme we will assign you a progress tutor, who will support you in collating your written evidence.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
