There is an emphasis not just on practical skills but on gaining important supporting knowledge such as the current thinking surrounding communication, dementia and mental health. To be eligible for this programme you will need written confirmation from a suitable organisation that they are willing to provide you with a weekly work placement for the duration of the programme.
You should also have some experience of working or volunteering within the health and social care sector and ideally have completed your Level 2 Health and Social Care.

You will attend College for a 3-hour session each week during term-time. These sessions will include group activities and discussions, with 1-2-1 support also being provided.
