Course Overview

This qualification will be of value to a range of practitioners working with learners in the Lifelong Sector.  It is seen as being particularly valuable as a programme to support teachers in the development of their own personal skills in Mathematics and also a bridging programme to meet the entry requirements of the specialist Diploma in in Teaching Mathematics in the Lifelong Sector.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however we will need to establish that your numeracy skills are of a standard to enable you to study at level 3. To assist in this we will interview you and ask you to undertake a maths skills assessment.

This is a 20-week course, with 3 hours a week spent in class and 2 hours a week assigned to independent study. We use a variety of teaching methods, such as presentations, individual assessments and team activities.
