Course Overview
To continue living, working or studying in the UK you may need to take one of the new IELTS VI (Visa and Immigration) tests.
A1 / A2 test
To prove your English speaking and listening skills as part of your application to UK Visas and Immigration for ‘Family of a Settled Person’ visa (A1) or extension to Family, Spouse or Partner visa (A2).
B1 test
To prove your English speaking and listening skills as part of your application to UK Visas and Immigration for indefinite leave to remain or citizenship.

Teaching and Learning Methods
The course will be taught online for 2 hours over 6 weeks, and will provide instruction and practice to help you with:
- topic based speaking and listening activities
- topic based vocabulary
- procedures for the test
Blackpool and the Fylde College has a team of well-qualified and knowledgeable ESOL tutors who will deliver the courses.
Our ESOL staff have many years of experience in successfully delivering English language courses, in line with government requirements, for those learners wishing to apply for visas / naturalisation.
