This course introduces you to the Spanish language. In the first week an Initial Assessment will ensure you are on the correct level of course. The course aims to teach basic Spanish conversation and comprises a mix of conversation, text book exercises and audio learning. Three 10-week terms take place in Autumn, Spring and Summer.
By the end of the course, you should be able to
• give and receive personal information
• use numbers (to talk about prices)
• order and pay for food and drink in a restaurant/café
You will also study basic grammar, learning to use expressions and forms appropriate to the language, using verbs at present tense, gender, prepositions and adjectives.
There are no specific entry requirements; you just need an enthusiasm for learning.
Teaching and Learning Methods
This is a class-based course, comprising a mix of conversation, text book exercises and audio learning. Each term is 10 weeks in length, with each session lasting 2 hours. You may be required to do some homework as well.
