Gain an insight into Computer Aided Design with this Level 1 CAD (3D) City and Guilds programme. Delivered over 3 hours a week for 16 weeks, this highly practical programme provides a basic understanding of CAD, its use and application, and the latest CAD techniques and standards. Through interactive sessions, experienced instructors will guide you through the key components of parametric modelling systems and how to use these effectively in a professional setting. Software engineering principles are also covered and you will need to devote additional time to independent study. Upon successful completion, you could progress to the level 2 programme.
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme however we will expect you to be familiar with Microsoft Windows based systems.
Modules and Assessment
Teaching and Learning Methods
High quality instruction and guidance from instructors with more than 20 years CAD experience and trained in an authorised Autodesk training centre.
Delivery will ensure students are equipped to develop a thorough understanding of key components used in parametric modelling systems; and be able to effectively use the key components used in parametric modelling systems in a professional setting.
Delivery is 3 hours per week for 16 weeks with classroom sessions which also includes interactive and practical sessions.
Students will be expected to follow tutor guidance and support with regards to elements of the course requiring independent study
