As you will need access to a range of animals, you may need to arrange a small placement / some volunteer work to support this. Learning and Teaching MethodsWe use a variety of learning and teaching methods, designed to emphasise the link between knowledge and application. These include lectures, demonstrations, practical investigations, seminars, workshops, tutorials, project work, supervised independent learning, open and resource-based learning, e-learning and work placements. Teaching is both tutor-led and student-led, with group work playing a part as well as individual learning to provide a well-rounded learning experience that caters to different learning styles. Expert Tutors All staff involved in the delivery of further education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice. Assessment MethodsYou will be required to complete coursework to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding. In addition, the animal health unit is assessed by an external exam.
