Lean Manufacturing - Yellow Belt

Summary

Lean Yellow Belt is an entry-level certification that introduces participants to the core principles of Lean manufacturing processes. It equips individuals with practical tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

By training employees at Yellow Belt level, employers gain team members who understand Lean fundamentals and can actively contribute to process improvement projects. This leads to reduced waste, improved productivity, enhanced quality, and measurable cost savings across operations.

During this 5 day course, applicants will identify an area of improvement within their workplace and utilise Lean tools to eliminate waste and improve an internal process.

This is a commercial course for individuals working in a manufacturing or engineering setting specifically geared to introducing them to foundational skills in lean manufacturing. There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

How will I learn?

The course is delivered over 5 consecutive days.

There is the option to arrange bespoke onsite training at your workplace if you have several employees requiring the training (minimum of 9/maximum of 12).

Alternatively, you can arrange to a mixed group at our Bispham Campus.

How will I be assessed?

To achieve the Yellow Belt certificate, participants must 

  • Submit a workbook
  • Deliver 4 Blocker project showing the impact of Lean on the organisation.
  • Attend a follow-up session to assess the impact of each project to demonstrate ROI
