Entry Requirements

To qualify for a place on the NextGen AutoTech Skills Bootcamp your technicians will nee to hold an industry-related technical qualification at Level 3, or have a minimum of 4-years experience in an automotive service, maintenance, mechanical or accident repair environment.

Successful applicants will need to be able to access online content (PC, Tablet, Laptop, etc.). All other equipment will be provided.

 

What it costs:

SME employers pay 10% of the £2,200 course fees: £220

Levy-paying employers pay 30% of the £2,200 course fees: £660

The NextGen AutoTech Skills Bootcamp has two IMI Level 3 qualifications.

Weeks 1 to 5: IMI Level 3 Technical Specialist in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement (Award)

This qualification has been designed to give technicians the knowledge and skills required to work safely on electric/hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out diagnostic, testing and repair activities and covers work on vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy electrical system.

Weeks 6 to 10: IMI Level 3 Technical Specialist in Diagnosing, Rectifying and Recalibrating Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Components (Award)

This qualification has been designed to give technicians the knowledge and skills required to work safely whilst carrying out diagnostic, testing and repair activities to ADAS sensors and systems and covers work on vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy electrical system. 

How will I learn?

Learning, teaching and assessment will take place in our dedicated, state-of-the-art facility, equipped with the latest technology and training equipment.

A maximum group size of no more than 10 candidates will ensure that candidates get the best experience and dedicated time with their trainer to develop their individual learning plan.

The programme has been designed by expert and experienced tutors who know the automotive industry and have ensured an appropriate balance of theory and practical learning.

Along with practical assessments, each of the qualifications requires the successful completion an online, multiple-choice test.

There will be a requirement for weekly independent study to complete online learning modules.
