Course SummaryThis Level 6 course is a one-year full-time, or two-year part-time, ‘top up’ programme for those who have achieved a Pass or higher on the Foundation Degree in Automotive and Motorsport Engineering Technology. Designed for students wishing to progress their studies and earn an Honours degree, the programme looks to further expand students' knowledge base with a focus on sustainability and enhanced design skills. It also gives students the opportunity to pursue postgraduate qualifications which are often industry-supported at this level as well as ensuring that graduates are well-placed to compete with similarly qualified candidates for some of the best jobs in the industry. , Entry Requirements You must have successfully completed the Foundation Degree in Automotive and Motorsport Engineering Technology, validated by Lancaster University, with Blackpool and The Fylde College to apply to this course. Course Detail Like our Foundation Degree programme, this course has been designed with input from employers both locally and nationally to ensure that the skills gap in the industry is being met by our graduates. Studied over one or two years either full- or part-time, this Top-Up degree builds on the existing knowledge developed in the Foundation Degree and includes work on sustainability within the industry together with a dissertation module allowing students to develop their own research interests. Independent Study Higher education courses rely on students undertaking work outside of formal, scheduled sessions and this is generally categorised as independent study.
