Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment) - Level 3

Summary

This is a portfolio work-based qualification designed to prove competency in practical work before moving on to the end-point assessment (AM2) and becoming fully-qualified.

We are currently offering this qualification only to those who have successfully completed their City and Guilds 2365/8202 Level 2 and 3.  

As part of the assessment for these qualifications, candidates must have, or have the potential to obtain access to a real work setting where they can demonstrate practical occupational competence to the requirements of the units, consistently over time.  

Students will be required at attend the centre for a 1-2-1 initial assessment visit and the bridging exam unit.  They will also need to produce a current 18th edition certificate before the qualification is completed and will need to undertake the AM2 before the final certificate will be issued. 

The 18th Edition & AM2 assessments must be completed but will incur additional cost.  Please contact us if you would like to include these in your package.

We are currently offering this qualification only to those who have successfully completed their City and Guilds 2365/8202 Level 2 and 3.  

If you hold a minimum of a Level 2 Electrical qualification and have over 5 years experience, please contact us to talk about the Experienced Worker qualification.

Upon enrolment, you’ll start with a bridging assessment to confirm your knowledge and progress to building an evidence portfolio.

Once you have completed our initial assessment to ensure you meet the criteria for this qualification you will be assigned an assessor who will support you through the NVQ process right up to your final assessments.

Evidence portfolio

Experienced electricians can use evidence from past projects. For newcomers to the industry, building your portfolio begins once you start working as an electrician. Various evidence types can be collected for the portfolio, including:

– Witness testimonies

– Photographs

– Reflective written accounts

– Paperwork completed as part of a project

- Direct Observation completed by your assessor
