Brickwork - Level 3

This course will give you a good understanding of Bricklaying along with advanced skills expected at Level 3. The structure of the course is mainly practical with enhanced opportunities to develop your core skills in the Construction Skills Centre. An emphasis is also placed on developing employability and health and safety awareness in order to prepare you for the workplace and ensure that you are work ready upon completing the qualification.
This course is for adults who have either completed the Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork or who have suitable industry experience, which our curriculum staff will determine at interview.

Teaching and Learning Methods
Expert tutors use a variety of teaching methods to support you in developing relevant skills and an in-depth understanding of safe working practices. A typical week consists of 12.5 hours' timetabled time, 70% of which is practical and 30% theory.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
