Key information Entry RequirementsThe course is open to all those aged 19 and over. No previous experience is required. To support your application you are required to complete a short English and mathematics diagnostic assessment in addition to having English and maths GCSEs or functional skills. This course is ideal for a wide range of applicants including those already employed in an accounting or finance environment, unemployed or those seeking a career change and want to move into accountancy. The Level 2 qualification comprises the following module units: Introduction to Bookkeeping Principles of Bookkeeping Controls Principles of Costing The Business Environment Workroom based teaching and computer suites for practice accounting sessions. Sessions are delivered by highly qualified industry accountants. Expert tutorsAll staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice. How will I be assessed? How will I be assessed?You will be assessed through time-constrained competence-based assessments and external online examinations throughout the programme, including the synoptic assessment (final examination). Apprentices are required to complete an EPA (end point assessment, including the synoptic, in-tray test and a professional discussion).
