Introduction to Aromatherapy Massage

Summary

This one-day introductory course to aromatherapy massage allows students to learn the key techniques involved in using pre-blended aromatherapy oils to tailor a bespoke massage treatment for their clients.

You will learn how to use various techniques to achieve different therapeutic effects depending on whether clients request a relaxing or invigorating message. You will also learn about the health and safety considerations when using essential oils, when aromatherapy massage would not be an appropriate treatment for someone and how to ensure you don't put your own body under stress or strain whilst carrying out the massage.

We will discuss how to prepare the work area, what products, tools and equipment you will need to carry out an aromatherapy massage safely and effectively and what aftercare advice to give to clients.

This course is ideal if you want to add pre-blended aromatherapy massage to a list of treatments you already offer or if you want to find out more about aromatherapy before committing to a more comprehensive aromatherapy course which will teach you how to make bespoke blends tailored to each individual client.
