You will need to provide your own model for lower lobe piercing. There are no formal assessments within this session but your tutor will be observing your practical work throughout the day. You will need to demonstrate your practical skills whilst ensuring that you are following the specific health and safety within the salon environment to ensure safety and competence. Teaching and Learning Methods Varied teaching methods to develop high level learning skills will be used in the session. The practical session will be delivered in newly furnished realistic working environments. You will be demonstrating your practical ear piercing on your own model. Please make arrangements for your own model. Industry Placement and Field Trips Work experience is not a compulsory part of this course. Other Costs and Equipment Needed You will be required to wear a professional beauty therapy uniform for this one day course. If you are new to the industry and so do not have a uniform, please do not worry. If this is the case then please wear plain black trousers, a plain black short sleeved top and flat black shoes. The College will provide the towels, equipment and products required to complete this programme, unless stated otherwise. Expert Tutors All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
