Course SummaryThis qualification is designed to increase awareness and understanding of behaviour in children and young people that challenges and its effects. Within the course you will explore causes of behaviour, how to deal with situations in an appropriate way and how pro-active strategies can be used to support positive behaviour. The course is delivered remotely and runs over 12 weeks with 4.5 hours of scheduled contact time each week. You will be assigned a subject specialist course tutor who will deliver the live scheduled sessions. The tutor will also be available for weekly support and to guide you from the beginning to the completion of your qualification. Qualification Obtained Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges Learning and Teaching MethodsThis course will be delivered remotely with live lectures and support sessions schedule for a total of 3.5 hours a week for 5 consecutive weeks from the course start date. Within these sessions there will be tutor delivery, question and answer, discussion, group work tasks and individual tasks. It is expected that you will complete a minimum of 3.5 hours independent study, each week, outside of the class to complete the assessment tasks which take the form of electronic workbooks. As part of this programme you will study a range of mandatory modules, including: Understanding Behaviour that Challenges Understanding How to Support Positive Behaviour Understanding the Importance of Effective Communication and the Management of Behaviour that Challenges Understanding the Role of Reflection and Support for those Involved in Incidents of Behaviour that Challenges Industry Placement and Field Trips There are no work placements and no field trips on this programme.
