Our computing courses equip you with the skills required to work in these technology expanding industries. In your year course you will study a range of topics including: Games programming Setting up an IT system 3D generated graphics Python development Team working Games design , Entry Requirements This is a transitional course to enable students without the pre requisite of 5 GCSE at grade 4 to gain the necessary skills to gain a T Level. A minimum of 2 GCSEs or a relevant Level 1 qualification. All 16-18 year old applicants will be invited to attend an interview to meet a tutor and ask any questions they may have about the course a successful interview with a tutor the ability to study independently a genuine interest in the subject good communication skills hardworking approach towards the industry Essential Skills – English and Maths If you achieve a grade 3 in GCSE Maths or English you will have to work towards re-sitting these subjects as part of your main study programme. At B&FC, this won’t delay your career journey because you’re working towards these subjects at the same time as your chosen subject. Qualification Obtained Level 2 Diploma in Digital and Games Development Qualification ObtainedT Level transition programme - Digital Learning and Teaching Methods Industry Placement and Field Trips Work placement is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a placement relevant to your study. Teaching and learning differs for each module, with practical units incorporating a summative assignment that results in product creation. Students are initially supported by demonstrations and walkthroughs and later by a workshop/individual focus intended to foster creativity. Modules are delivered by specialised subject specialists with industry experience.
