Entry Requirements
You need to be working as a qualified mechanic or automotive technician. Experience in steering, suspension and tyre work is beneficial. You should be comfortable using workshop tools and be confident in vehicle inspection.

This is a commercial course, the fees for which are displayed above and must be paid at the time of booking.
Extra costs and equipment
You should bring footwear suitable for an automotive practical workshop environment. All other equipment/resources you require for this course are provided by B&FC at no extra cost.

What You’ll Learn
The course covers the key tasks a wheel alignment technician must master:
- Understand how vehicle steering and suspension affect wheel alignment and tyre wear.
- Use four wheel alignment equipment to measure geometry.
- Learn to compare readings to vehicle manufacturer data.
- Carry out alignment adjustments and reset vehicle wheel alignment to factory specifications.
- Inspect tyres, suspension components and geometry settings for wear or damage.
- Interpret alignment data and learn safe work methods in a workshop environment.
How You’ll Learn
You’ll work in a fully equipped workshop with real vehicle alignment equipment and tools. Training will include hands-on tasks and demonstrations.

How You’ll Be Assessed
You will be tested through a mix of practical work and knowledge check:
- Practical Assessment: Use alignment equipment and carry out a full wheel alignment task.
- Knowledge Test: Short online or written quizzes. These will check your understanding of alignment concepts, equipment use and data interpretation.
