The IMI Accreditation Senior MET Technician Full Route is intended for vehicle technicians who carry out structural and mechanical vehicles repairs typically involved in accidents.
If you work in the accident repair sector in the automotive industry and have at least 3 years MET experience, this two-day assessment allows you to prove your motor skills, update your mechanical knowledge, and demonstrate that you can work to the highest industry standard.
You will be assessed on your ability to:
- Replace and refit a range of MET components
- Return vehicle systems to manufacturer specification
- Diagnose and resolve system faults
- Work safely, efficiently and professionally

This accreditation is delivered at our dedicated industry training facility located at Whitehills Business Park. The Park is conveniently situated at the end of the M55 with a Travel Lodge nearby offering affordable accommodation for delegates who require it.

What You'll Learn
Course content includes assessments on the following modules:
- Completion of on-line assessment
- Carry out cosmetic panel alignment
- Remove and refit of cooling system components
- Remove and refit an SRS component
- Complex MET: To remove/replace/refit components to the original specification
- Vehicle electrical – complex fault finding
- Vehicle suspension: remove and refit mechanical components from a vehicle
- Four-wheel alignment – four-wheel alignment check and check and adjust to manufacturer specifications.
- Four-wheel alignment – interpretation of data
How You'll Learn
This is a two-day assessment course to allow technicians to gain IMI accreditation. No teaching takes place.
