Summary This Managed Learning Programme (MLP) has been designed specifically for people who want to start a career within the gas industry but who have little or no trade experience.Developed in response to changes to the Gas Industry Standard of Training, this qualification is approved by Gas Safe and provides a pathway to becoming a domestic gas operative. By achieving the MLP certification, candidates will then be eligible to progress onto the ACS domestic gas assessment and on successful completion of the modules will then become a qualified gas operative, able to work on domestic gas installations and appliances.The programme consists of on the job work experience under the supervision of a qualified Gas Engineer as your mentor and in-centre training for both practical and theoretical elements of the programme.
