ACS Natural Gas to LPG Training

Summary

Our course is designed for those engineers with domestic natural gas qualifications looking to be able to work on LPG systems. Training is split 50% between theory and practical and is delivered by experienced tutors with expertise in this field.

Evidence of training will allow the candidate to take assessment in changeover from domestic natural gas to LPG.

Entry Requirements

Domestic core gas safety CCN1 and appliances is mandatory.

Evidence of holding LPG qualifications previously or having completed training is desirable.

All equipment and materials are provided by the centre, candidates are asked to wear their own safety footwear in workshop environments.

What will I learn?

This course will provide you with the training required to prepare for assessment of installation, testing, purging, commissioning and servicing of LPG storage, pipework and appliances.

Industry placement, field trips and guest speakers

A portfolio of work is only required if part of validation of training following a gas managed learning programme.

How will I learn?

Classroom and workshop-based training to provide the knowledge and skills to prepare for assessment, split 50/50 with practical and multiple choice questions mainly based around the difference in pressure and ventilation differences between domestic natural gas and LPG.

Multiple choice question papers and practical tasks are weighted at 50% each and are used to provide evidence of training before assessment.
