Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA; CMI)

Every business needs strong, motivated and experienced leaders to address the future's challenges and opportunities.

The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) is a three-year course from the Charted Management Institute (CMI) that equips executives with advanced knowledge, skills and behaviours across three essential areas of management and leadership:

  • Organisational performance
  • Interpersonal excellence
  • Personal effectiveness

The CMDA includes business education, work-based learning and professional development through to Chartered Manager status.

Throughout the course students will become invaluable members of their employer's leadership team by testing and evaluating what they learn, in simulated scenarios - before applying it in their daily work.

Apprentices

First take a look at the CMDA course page.

If you haven't already discussed an apprenticeship with your employer, speak to your line manager or learning and development team about the benefits to your role and business of this apprenticeship.

If you work in a large organisation it might be that the cost of your training is covered by the apprenticeship levy.

Otherwise your employer will only pay a very small amount.

Businesses

If you're planning on long-term success driven by an expert leadership team, the CMDA qualification will sit well with your ambitions.

Whether you're looking to recruit a future leader who will provide your organisation with fresh perspectives while they learn to become a Chartered Manager, or want to upskill your existing and promising talent with this qualification, get in touch about the CMDA.

Depending on your situation you may either be able to cover the costs of the CMDA with your apprenticeship levy - or through a co-investment approach with the UK government.
