Looking to hire an apprentice?

Please visit our dedicated employer page where you can find out how apprenticeships can really benefit your business and help you develop your workforce.

Is an apprenticeship right for me?

An apprenticeship gives you the best of both worlds; the chance to develop your career and work towards a nationally-recognised qualification at the same time. Apprenticeships are available to anyone over 16 but they are not just for school leavers or new employees. Existing employees can do apprenticeships too and there's no upper age limit. It's a great way for employers to develop employees they already trust and help to move their businesses forward.

No matter where you're starting from, it's absolutely essential to have an employer who is willing to offer you an apprenticeship whether that's by applying for and securing an apprenticeship vacancy or whether your existing employer is willing to set up an apprenticeship for you.

Read on to find out what to do next wherever you're starting from.
