Early Years Educator - Advanced Apprenticeship

Job Summary

Your role within Little George’s Nursery School will be to ensure the Nursery is of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development; providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care. If you have a Level 2 childcare qualification or experience working in a childcare setting, we’d love you to apply and join the team.

Full Details

Specific Child Care Tasks:

•              Plan & implement a programme of activities suitable to the individual needs of the children in your room, considering the age and stage of development, in conjunction with other staff;

•             To keep up to date, true record of development on your key children, for parents/carers and other agencies;

•             To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing, ensuring all specific dietary needs are met;

•             Washing and changing children as required; and providing comfort and warmth to all children, especially an ill child.

Little George’s Nursery School was established in 2017, by Diane Meyer NNEB and Kamini Chamberlain BA Hons with QTS.  Both have many, many years experience in early years and aim to offer a very high standard of care and education, providing fun and friendship within a secure, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 2 – 4 years.

Qualifications Required

Level 3 a minimum of English and maths grades A*- C (9-4) (or equivalent) are desirable OR willingness to complete Functional Skills Level 2 are a requirement to have or to achieve before EPA Gateway.

Skills Required

  •  Level 2 childcare qualification or experience working in a childcare setting

  • Good English skills 

  • Good communication skills

STANDARD & LEVEL  

The successful candidate will work towards completing the Level 3 Early Years Educator Practitioner Standard from the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education. Delivered by Blackpool and The Fylde College offering expert tuition and exceptional facilities.

Rate of Pay: Depending on prior qualification and or experience the hourly rate of pay will reflect this.

 

Working Week: Monday – Friday between 8.15am - 5.00pm
