My Story

I started at B&FC aged16, right after I’d moved to this country. I initially enrolled on the Level 2 IT course and then progressed to the Level 3. Both courses were extremely approachable and easy to get a grip on, especially for someone with an interest in IT, so I have somehow ended up acing every subject.

Due to being a massive hipster I was one of the very few people in my age bracket interested in Software Engineering. Everyone else always raves about video games but being aware of the workload it comes with I decided to run with Software Engineering and Games Development at degree-level.

Higher education posed a bit more of a challenge, but I still managed to achieve top grades in my class.

I am on my way to progressing my career by considering multiple job offers, including a front-end developer role at the Department of Work and Pensions and a full stack developer position in Manchester.

My Most Recent Role...

Software Developer at AC3Solutions/School Synergy

How B&FC Helped Me

  • B&FC has helped me develop as a person
  • B&FC has encouraged me to think academically
  • At B&FC I’ve made friends for life
  • B&FC has really cool computing tutors

Why B&FC?

During the course I managed to find two work placements and worked them concurrently. Both of those were set up through connections provided by B&FC and both turned into paid positions; they also rewarded me with valuable industry experience and allowed me to jump-start my career massively - I would not have acquired my current position without this experience.
