Stay connected beyond graduation

Registering gives you access to ongoing careers support, networking opportunities, events, and updates designed to support you as you progress in work or further study. Signing up is quick and easy using the link on our website, and we only collect information that helps us keep in touch and improve our support for graduates. Your data will be managed securely and in line with our Privacy Policy, which clearly explains how your information is used and stored.

  • 1. Continued Careers Guidance and One to One Support

    We offer tailored careers guidance, including appointments, CV and application reviews, and interview preparation for recent graduates.
     

    2. Access to Careers support and Job Opportunities

    Alumni can have access B&FC’s dedicated career platform at zero cost. It features job listings, events and opportunities, plus Al assisted tools for skills development and career management.
     

    3. Careers Events, Workshops and Webinars

    We offer recruitment fairs, workshops, and guest speaker sessions to help alumni build confidence and connections.

    B&FC provides ongoing learning opportunities, including online courses, and upskilling pathways.

    We encourage alumni to join our LinkedIn network, connect with graduates across industries, and share their career stories and advice. We also distribute a digital newsletter up to 4 times a year to inform graduates of forthcoming events and activities.

Career Boost Week - July 2026

Careers Boost Week takes place from Monday 13 to Friday 17 July 2026 and offers Alumni the chance to reconnect with B&FC’s Careers Team and focus on their next steps. Throughout the week, alumni can book a 1:1 online career guidance meeting with our qualified advisers.

Whether you’re looking to progress in your current role, explore a career change, return to study, or simply gain some fresh perspective, Careers Boost Week provides tailored, professional support to help you move forward with confidence.

This online platform is designed to support you at every stage of your career, whether you’re looking to progress in your current role, change direction, or explore further study.

You’ll have access to up-to-date labour market information, career quizzes and self-assessment tools, CV and application support, interview guidance, job search resources, and the option to book or access careers advice and guidance online.

The Digital Careers Centre puts practical, personalised careers support at your fingertips 24/7 helping you make informed decisions, build confidence and take your next step, wherever your career journey takes you.

    How can I access the Digital Careers Centre as a B&FC graduate?

    If you have not yet registered with our Alumni Community, please do so first. This allows you to give consent for us to share your details so you can access the platform. If you have already registered and are still having trouble logging in, please email alumni@blackpool.ac.uk.

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is the Data Controller for personal information collected through the Alumni Community Hub.

What information we collect and why

Information provided via the Alumni Hub is used to:

  • Create or update your alumni record
  • Manage Alumni Hub membership and preferences
  • Understand the careers, events, and activities you wish to receive
  • Enable continued access to B&FC’s Digital Careers Centre after graduation
  • Support alumni engagement, employability activity, and progression insight

Some information is processed to meet legal obligations or legitimate interests linked to alumni engagement and education related services. Where consent is required, this can be withdrawn at any time by completing a Withdrawal of Consent form on our website and submitting it to the Data Protection Office at datarequest@blackpool.ac.uk.

Please note that data linked to funding, statutory returns, or support already received may not be eligible for deletion.

  • The Access Group – to enable continued access to B&FC’s Digital Careers Centre

Personal data may be stored using secure cloud based systems. Your data is not shared internationally. Where data is transferred outside the UK, appropriate safeguards ensure equivalent levels of protection.
