English, Maths and Computing Basic Skills If you feel your lack of basic skills in English, Maths or Computing is holding you back at work and in life too, then our beginner courses could be just the helping hand you need. Course list We understand that not everyone finds reading and writing easy, and for some, maths can be challenging. It's common to feel left behind by technology when others seem to grasp it effortlessly.From basic tasks like checking your change in a shop to communicating with friends on social media, these skills can be life-changing and enhance your employability if you're seeking a job or progression in your current career.Courses start weekly, including flexible options to suit parents and those who work, catering for everyone. You can learn at a pace that fits your ability and personal goals.If eligible, you can also apply for Student Support Funds. This may include a bus pass, bursary and/or food vouchers.
