In 2009, the doors opened to our stunning new University Centre, conveniently located in Central Blackpool. This fantastic new facility is actually a multi-million pound redevelopment of the existing site, with the result a stylish and functional example of ‘traditional meets new’.

The really great thing about it though is that higher education students now have a campus to call their own, since virtually all our university courses are now under one roof. That makes student life a whole lot easier and more convenient. It also means you can enjoy everything Blackpool has to offer but still benefit from that all-important ‘university experience’.

At the Centre, all of the main teaching and support facilities cleverly converge onto an attractive central courtyard, making it easy to get around. The main focus of the facility is the Central Hub, a stunning open-plan building where students can access state-of-theart learning resources, advice and information, and a multi-style refectory.

New teaching accommodation has created a pleasant and stimulating learning environment. Our recently extended Theatre is a fabulous teaching resource as well as a leading community venue for a host of productions.

A unique and special addition to the Centre is our Gallery, housing works by both our own students and by independent artists. For more attractions, Blackpool town centre – currently undergoing a multi-million pound transformation of its own – is only a short walking distance away.
