Jane Dunstan
Jane_Dunstan_Heath_2.png Jane Dunstan comes from Burton-upon-Trent and she now lives in Blackpool with her two daughters. After gaining a first class honours degree in Early Childhood Studies, she is embarking on a teacher training course at Blackpool and The Fylde College.
“I was born and brought up in the Midlands and I’ve spent the last twenty years drifting closer to the sea! When I got married and became a mum I developed an understandable interest in childcare and trained as a childminder, studying NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Childcare.
I worked as a Nursery Nurse when my girls were little and continued to do so when they went to school. I found it stimulated my thirst for knowledge and I was keen to discover the theoretical underpinning of my own practical experience.
I’m a lone parent now and when my tutors at the College suggested I do a degree, I was a bit scared to say the least, but when I finally handed in my dissertation I felt it was all worth it. I always wanted to be a teacher; and now I’m going to be one.”
