Thura Zaw - New Media Design and Technology

thura_zaw.jpgI came to College as an international student – Blackpool and The Fylde College covers a wide location and the range of courses means people can come from a variety of backgrounds for many reasons.

On my course, we benefited from relatively small classes so we could always have time with the tutor to solve any problems. Also, there was always a place to study as there are many resource centres around the College. The whole atmosphere and attitude to work suited me perfectly.

After completing the course, I set up my own web design company. College helped with this as throughout the course I was given advice about the path I could take which gave me a clear goal to keep reaching for.

If you are going to start your own business, you need to be good at what you do and able to work within a team. Really good project management, people skills and the ability to multitask are also key. It was definitely worth all the studying to do this; I always look forward to work in the morning and I take great pride in our work.

My time at College was brilliant!
