Making good career decisions involves thinking about your interests and qualities and also spending time researching possible careers choices.
The Careers Zone provides a wide range of in-house guides to help you in your research. Below are just two examples of the many guides available;
You may also get to the point where you need to speak to a Careers Adviser to explore your ideas further and receive guidance on how to progress, for example;
- If you have no idea what you might do next,
- Have some ideas you want to research,
- Need help with writing a CV and/or preparing for interview
- Understanding the UCAS Apply process for entry to Higher Education
Our service approach means that you can gain the skills, insights, information and advice needed to manage your next steps and/or progression plan/career.
If you are progressing onto Higher Education and you would like help with the UCAS process, the Careers Team run regular UCAS help sessions throughout term time (an individual workshop to support you through the application process)
For students who are already studying for a higher education qualification we offer progression advice and graduate employer workshops.

A range of printed publications are also available from our Advice Centres ( FREE to students). PROSPECTS DIRECTORY gives details of 100’s of graduate recruiters and enables you to select employers by type of work or degree discipline – free copies available, pop into your nearest Advice Centre!
