Student Services provides all students and staff of the College with information, support, advice and guidance. Our services are impartial (unbiased) and free of charge. Whilst there are three Student Service Advice areas at Bispham, Central and Ansdell campuses the specialist staff are available at all Blackpool and The Fylde campuses by arrangement.

Services provided include:
- Accommodation (student accommodation for Higher Education students)
- Careers
- Chaplaincy – providing a contact for people of all faiths
- Counselling
- International Welfare (help and support for international students)
- Welfare (information and advice on student awards, loans and financial support for Further and Higher Education students, including Childcare and transport
- Student Union Officer – HE students
- Student Association Officer – FE students
Using the Service
You can see someone during the advertised drop-in times or book a longer appointment by prior arrangement. We also adopt the following service guidelines:-
- Emergency cases will be assessed at the point of initial contact and if required the student will be dealt with immediately.
- Students requiring an appointment will be given one within 48 hours of their initial contact.
- Follow-up appointments will take place within one week of the previous one (or as convenient to the client).
- Where enquiries are made over the telephone and an immediate reply cannot be given then students will be contacted within 24 hours.
- Initial e-mail enquiries will be dealt with within 48 hours. In cases where this is not possible out of necessity for further enquiries, then the e-mail will be acknowledged within 48 hours followed by weekly progress reports until the issue is resolved.
In cases where further information arising from interviews needs to be sought, this will be obtained within one week of the appointment. In exceptional cases where this is not possible then the student will be contacted after one week and be told of the reason. If necessary, weekly contact will take place thereafter until the issue is resolved.
