You can nominate a student in any of the categories below. Simply fill in the nomination form and return it to Marketing by Monday 16th April. The judging panel will then select one nomination from each school for each particular category. We will let you know whether or not your nomination has been successful – if they are, we will invite you to attend the Awards to join in the celebrations with your nominee and their guests.
Nominating criteria: Students must be enrolled on an FE course and be able to demonstrate excellence over the last academic year. This could mean consistently high grades, huge progress made or an outstanding attendance record. They will be positive ambassadors for B&FC, whether as an inspiration to fellow students or through extracurricular activities. The winner will be someone who stands out as a model student - hard working, likeable and motivated.
Nominating criteria: Students must be enrolled on an FE course and have overcome personal barriers just to be here. The College’s ‘welcome all’ philosophy means many of our students come from difficult and challenging backgrounds. Others have suffered huge personal traumas while at College and show inordinate strength in successfully overcoming these situations. The winner will be a truly inspiring individual and a role model to other students.

Nominating criteria: This category is for any adult enrolled at the College who has shown incredible commitment, dedication and ability in their chosen field. The winner will be a shining example of why adults continue to come to College, follow their dreams and turn their lives around while juggling the many commitments of everyday life.
Nominating criteria: This category is for any adult enrolled at the College who has overcome challenging personal circumstances to attend their course. For many adult learners, deciding to take up or return to education can be difficult enough in itself. When life events take a turn for the worse, it can be extremely difficult to remain motivated towards a personal goal. The winner will be someone who has triumphed over such adversity and acts as a positive example to us all.
Nominating criteria: This category is for any international student currently enrolled at the College. Many will have travelled thousands of miles, leaving friends and family behind, and overcome language barriers in order to study here. The winner will not only have faced these hurdles but will have gone the extra mile, maybe by excelling in their chosen field, helping other students to settle in or fully immersing themselves into College life.
