This is currently my second year of teaching in the school of Society, Health and Childhood Studies and hopefully there will be many more to come. Initially I was employed as a temporary member of staff but have since been made permanent. The level of support I have received within this post has been second to none; both from other colleagues and managers alike who operate an open door policy.

Blackpool and the Fylde College prides itself on continual professional development and the opportunities to progress are endless. I have recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in which the college was extremely flexible throughout, supporting me through my studies and arranging my timetable to fit. Many day and short courses are also available to support tutors in their delivery of sessions and to further their knowledge and experience in a range of different subject areas.

It is a rewarding job that changes daily-ensuring that it is far from dull! Blackpool and the Fylde College not only puts the learner at the centre of everything it does, but also takes into account the needs and requirements of its employees
