The College aims to educate, train and develop people of all levels of ability in the community. Our key market segments are:

  • 14-16 year old school learners
  • 16-19 year olds following both academic and vocational programmes
  • Adult students following a range of programmes including Skills for Life, academic and vocational training as well as leisure learning
  • Employers and workforce development
  • Higher education
  • Specialist vocational provision in Nautical Studies including maritime and offshore operations

We provide a broad range of education and training in the following areas:

  • Taster and vocational programmes for 14-16 year olds from local schools
  • Academic qualifications including GCSEs, AS and A levels
  • Vocational qualifications in the following curriculum areas: Art and Design, Business and Management, Casino Operations, Construction, Engineering, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, Society, Health and Childhood Studies, Hospitality and Catering, Information Technology and Computing, Performing Arts, Media and Music, Teacher Education, Tourism and Leisure.
  • Access to Higher Education
  • Degree, foundation and HND programmes in the majority of programmes mentioned above
  • Skills for Life
  • Apprenticeships
  • Customised training for employers often delivered in the work
  • Internationally recognised nautical and offshore training which attracts large numbers of overseas students
  • Leisure learning for adults through a network of community venues across the Fylde
  • Access and foundation courses for young people and adults without formal qualifications
  • Courses for young people and adults with learning difficulties or disabilities
