Alumnus interview:

Claire Louise Davies - Health and Social Care Level 4

claire_davies.jpgI decided to come to College to improve my academic profile in a way that would also support my profession. I definitely think I made the right choice – I’ve gained a vast expanse of knowledge and met like-minded professionals here.

College helped me towards my career ambitions with a holistic approach! I support people with learning disabilities and I devise planning programmes and support them towards their future developments: to see the whole picture has been useful.

To work in this industry, I’d say you need to be caring, honest, fun, have a friendly personality and be able to laugh. You also need to love life and be able to help others to feel the same.

My tutor, Allee McIntyre, was a great mentor and really helped both with building my confidence and the final outcome – having a degree is a great accomplishment and overall, College was a really worthwhile experience for me.
