Bally Gaming, College main sponsor
"Our relationship with the College began when its gaming provision operated out of just one classroom. Since then the whole concept has moved along fantastically with its Regional Gaming Academy now occupying an entire floor."
"The College offers relevant courses that are very genuinely needed and which are evolving all the time to meet the specific needs of the marketplace. Despite there being a large amusement industry in this country there is a significant lack of knowledge about casino equipment, which involves far more sophisticated technology and a higher degree of skills."
"Currently we’re working with the College to give university standard students the chance to be trained and evaluated in an on-site working environment to ensure that when they hit the field they’re ready to do so. The aim is to make individuals a much more marketable commodity."
Mars Electronics is one of the leading manufacturers of coin mechanisms used in entertainment machines with the largest installed base of ‘unattended payment mechanisms’ in the world. MEI has worked closely with the College on its gaming provision and has been involved in making students aware of the latest coin/note acceptance technology.

Technical Support, Mars Electronics
"Currently, MEI is sponsoring students to benchmark current industry products against its own. This allows students to develop their skills using a wide range of technology whilst providing the company with some much-valued R&D."
"I think what the College is doing is just what the industry needs and in just one year ts gaming provision has seen enormous growth. Generally, it can take an engineer anything from 2 to 4 years to learn about these machines. Thanks to the College however engineers can now learn everything they need to know within a classroom environment, working on real machines that use real products."
