Our employability and Pre-Employment courses will help you get back to work by learning new skills and increasing your confidence. The courses are free and will not affect your benefits.

The employability team deliver courses across Blackpool Fylde & Wyre. We are based in the well established Seasiders Learning Centre which is located in the North Stand of Blackpool Football Club. The entrance is next door to Safe Hands Nursery

Students gain the skills and confidence to get back to work and our specialist job brokers support you to find sustainable employment.

Pre-Employment Courses

These courses are tailored to specific employers such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Waterworld, Argos, Sub Zero, Crown Leisure and Wetherspoons

Courses typically run for two and a half days per week for four weeks

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for a Pre-Employment Course you need to be either unemployed for less than 6 months or at risk of redunancy or if you have been unemployed for 6 months or more you will need to be claiming Job Seekers Allowance or Work Related Employment & Support Allowance.You may also receive some travel expenses
