Course Overview

 The learner has to undertake a total of 36 credits, made up as follows:

NVQ Certificate in Marketing – 21 credits of which 12 credits are mandatory, these units are:

  • Collect and organise market research data
  • Contribute to measuring the marketing response
  • Work with other people in a business environment
  • Improve own performance in a business environment

There are many optional units that meet your individual circumstances, these include:

  • Use digital and social media in marketing campaigns
  • Support the co-ordination of an event
  • Spreadsheet / Presentation software
  • Develop customer relationships
  • Plan and organise an even

Certificate in Principles of Marketing - (Knowledge) 15 credits, mandatory units include:

  • Principles of Marketing Theory
  • Understanding Legal, Regulatory and Ethical Requirements in Sales or marketing
  • Principles of Personal Responsibilities and Working in a Business Environment

 Optional units include:

  • Principles of Digital Marketing
  • Principles of Market Research
  • Principles of Customer Relationships

Course Entry Requirements

 There are no mandatory entry requirements for this apprenticeship framework. However, employers are looking to attract apprentices who have a strong interest in working in marketing or market Research. They are particularly interested in those who have an aptitude for design, an understanding of digital and communications technology and have confident communication skills on which the apprenticeship will build.
