How many times do we hear that expression and what do we think it really means??  Could it be that the individual to whom it relates is actually quite bossy or even a tad aggressive?

Do you end up saying “yes” when you actually wanted to say “No”?

Do you often feel that you are taken advantage of and others don’t respect your rights?

Or.... do you sometimes accused of being bossy and out to get your own way

What does being assertive mean to you?

Does it mean getting your own way all the time? Or does it mean knowing when to let someone else or some other cause or outcome take precedence?

Assertiveness is a behaviour that is a life skill that can help us in all manner of work or social situations. It can help when dealing with customers, staff, colleagues, and the boss or even just when complaining at a restaurant or when you feel that you’ve had a raw deal.
