Support Work in Schools - Level 2 Award (CACHE)

B&FC

Qualification Obtained: Award in Support Work in Schools (QCF)

Course Overview

This qualification is an introduction to the information and knowledge needed to work in primary, secondary or special schools. It covers the many varied roles that full and part time support staff may fulfill including: administrative roles, site support roles, technical roles and volunteers, as well as those roles that work directly with children and young people in the school environment.

This course will support those who would like to work in a school support role. This may also be a useful qualification for welfare assistants. It also provides initial training and induction for those new in post.

All classes are taught by specialist tutors with a wealth of experience in the sector.  All tutors engage in regular updating of skills within the industry and research to ensure currency of practice and information.

The part time programme design means that our provision is ideal for adults wishing to embark on a career change but who have other employment or family commitments.  The choice of class times is designed to accommodate family life.
