Course Overview

This qualification provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills required when working directly with adults in a social care setting. This course will support you to gain placement or employment and begin your career working with adults in social care.

Within this course, not only will you gain a Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care you will also gain a wide variety of skills that will support you in your career.  You will acquire a bank of knowledge relevant to your role and also learn a range of strategies surrounding adult care including communication, team work, risk management and behaviour management.

All classes are taught by specialist tutors with a wealth of experience in the sector.  All tutors engage in regular updating of skills within the industry and research to ensure currency of practice and information.

The part time programme design means that our provision is ideal for adults wishing to embark on a career change but who have other employment or family commitments.  The choice of class times is designed to accommodate family life.
