About this Course:

A practical and theory based course which will develop your hand and ground work preparation and finishing skills. Whilst learning the theory aspects and developing your maths and communication skills.

Assessment Methods:

There will be a mix of practical assessments and end practical assessments. Each unit will have an end test then a final theory test. These will be online.

Progression:

To Level 2 Diploma in General Construction Operations or consider other Level 1 trade area or apprenticeship.

Special Features:

Working with expert tutors, within excellent facilities to guide you through the course and develop your practical and theory skills to gain your Diploma 1. Work based evidence will be required to gain your NVQ.

Course Options:

None – you will follow a fixed programme that is the same training programme that apprentices do.

Teaching Methods:

60% practical and 40% theory over the year. You will learn how to carry out safe working practices, building methods and construction technology, structural and decorative ground work, repair and maintain finished surfaces and gain the skills to become a professional civil engineer.
