Apprenticeships are designed to meet the needs of the modern business environment and focus on the whole job, not just individual skills.

They offer quality work based training as an alternative to full time study, leading to nationally recognised qualifications sought by employers throughout industry and improving your chances of moving on in your chosen career.  They are suitable for well motivated people who are focussed and know which career path they want to follow. Better still, it allows you to earn a wage at the same time.

Creative Apprenticeships cover a wide range of career paths including graphic design, photography, web design, video production, fashion and marketing.

You will complete an Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Art and Design, an Edexcel Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Design, and Functional Skills qualifications in Maths, English and ICT.

Progression:

What next?

Students may continue to work for their employer, progress to a range of BA Honours Degree courses or apply for a Level 4 Higher Creative Apprenticeship (available from September 2012). Whatever you decide, the qualification, skills and work-based portfolio you gain through an Advanced Creative Apprenticeship will help launch you into your chosen career in the creative industries.
