This Autosport Technology programme allows access to a unique level of industry standard research and development equipment that is all located within the learning environment. The course operates in close collaboration with specialist companies such as TVR.
On programme the learner will take a journey from initial concept and design to research, development and testing, through implementation of 'real-world' Autosport applications.
The assessments consist of assignments and formal exams. The exams are usually sat at the end of each semester (February and June).
Successful students will be able to progress on to the Masters programme in Engineering delivered by Lancaster university or alternatively enter straight into industry. Past students have gone on to work for Race Teams such as Porsche.
These can include lectures, practical activities in workshops, laboratory work and demonstrations, directed and independent learning, group work, tutorials and seminars.
The weekly timetable averages at 13-15 hours per week. There is a facility for one-to one tutorials.
