You will receive an excellent grounding in a range of techniques in preparation for work within the arts industry.
The criteria for admission onto the course are the student's suitability and perceived ability to complete the course successfully. This is principally demonstrated through audition and interview in addition to the minimum entry requirement of 120 UCAS points, excluding Key Skills. There is no maximum age restriction.
Essential qualities will include commitment, dedication, and a real passion for your subject. Rehearsals can be physically demanding and will require you to be self motivated, analytical and career focussed
Assessment is continuous and measured against learning outcomes. It is monitored through class work, scene studies, workshops, performances and formal essays and journals.
Feedback is provided in both formal and informal sessions and this forms an integral part of the learning process. A formal Progress Review takes place at the end of each term this monitors and tracks your assessment and achievement.
On successful completion students will normally progress directly into the Arts Industry to work as performers or practitioners. Progression opportunities to study at post graduate level also are encouraged.
