Access To Higher Education Programmes

About this Course:

The Access to Higher Education Diploma course is a one-year, full-time, Level 3 course and runs for 15 hours per week. This course has been specifically designed for adults returning to study and is a proven and successful route to Higher Education.  Successful students are awarded an Access to H.E. Diploma which can be used to apply for H.E. courses. 

Entry Requirements: (a minimum of)

3 GCSEs at Grade C including English Language or equivalent

Progression:

The completion of the Level 3 Access to HE programme is usually accepted by most universities to enable progression to Higher Education provision, however, it is advised that you check with your institution choice(s) in the first instance.

Course Options:

Students take two Level 3 subjects choosing from Psychology, Sociology, Human Physiology and Health, Social Issues in Health Care, English, Creative Writing and History.  Plus either Level 2 Science or Maths or Citizenship/Popular Culture.  All students take the HE Study Skills and Toolkit Package.
